The Municipal Gallery of Corfu is located within the premises of the Palace of St Michael and St George in the historic center of Corfu Town. The building houses beautiful works by local 19th century artists.
There is a permanent exhibition featuring works from his significant painting collection. This collection includes works by leading painters from the Ionian Islands and covers a period from the 16th to the 20th century.
Some of the collections are: the Samartzis Collection (42 works), the Aglaia Pappa Collection (23 works) and the Philippos Markotsis Collection (12 works), while two other works were donated by Nikolaos Ventouras.
