Torcicoda – Red Primitivo IGT Salento – Tormaresca
Torcicoda: a very current interpretation of the primitivo, the first Apulian wine among the best 100 wines in the world for Wine Spectator.
“Torcicoda” therefore recalls, on the one hand, one of the tools used by the factors for the care of horses, on the other hand the sinuosity and luxuriant nature of the shoots and leaves of this vine, also called “of the three vintages” for its fertility.
Tasting notes
Torcicoda has an intense ruby red color with a slight purplish hue. On the nose, notes of red fruit, black cherry and plum prevail, which combine with spicy sensations of licorice, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate the entrance is soft and broad, with a good structure supported by an elegant tannic texture. The finish is long and persistent with a pleasant cherry aftertaste in alcohol.
