Pietrabianca – Chardonnay Castel del Monte DOC – white Puglia – Tormaresca

This elegant Chardonnay was born in the “Tenuta Bocca di Lupo” in the heart of the Murgia and the origin of its name is inspired by this territory. “Pietrabianca” remembers, in fact, the rocks that farmers encounter during the preparation of the soil and which, once ground and integral parts of the soil, help to enhance the aromas of the wines that are born there. Rich, complex and at the same time fresh and pleasant, with notes of grass and toasted hazelnuts, it is recommended in combination with first courses of fish or meat, high gastronomy fish, white meats and semi-mature cheeses.

The grapes are softly pressed and the must obtained is placed in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10 ° C, in order to obtain a natural decantation. Subsequently the chardonnay is decanted into new French and Hungarian oak barriques, where the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. This is followed by refinement in barriques on the fine lees, during which the malolactic fermentation takes place. The Fiano instead is fermented in steel, at a temperature of 16 ° C, in order to enhance the notes of freshness and acidity.

Tasting notes
Pietrabianca has a bright yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose gives tropical notes of
pineapple and lychee combined with hints of orange blossom and peach; fresh sensations complete the complex bouquet
and citrus fruits accompanied by aromas of hazelnut and vanilla. On the palate it is vibrant, with good freshness and
structure. The finish is pleasantly savory. A wine capable of expressing itself today as in the years to come.
