Minutolo is a native white grape variety typical of the very restricted area of ​​the Itria Valley.
This variety was almost completely lost before our family promoted its rediscovery and redevelopment.

A very difficult grape to work, sensitive to some ampelopathies, not very productive, with an accentuated and particular aroma, a semi-aromatic grape whose presence on the territory of the Itria Valley dates back to antiquity. The old farmers had preferred to uproot these plants to make room for easier to care for and more productive varieties.

It was generically called Fiano but belongs to the Muscat family. It was our family who gave a real name to this precious and ancient vine. We called it Minutolo because of the small grapes that make up the bunch.

The Rampone is a pure Minutolo.
Straw yellow in color pervaded by greenish reflections of brilliant vivacity. Intense aromas, with a marked aroma, with decisive floral fragrances of hawthorn, jasmine and wisteria, citrus fruits of lime, cedar and green apple, and softer fruity notes such as yellow peach, mango, pineapple and exotic fruits in general.
Fresh, mineral, savory, balanced, with good acidity and an excellent predisposition to aging. Able to give exceptional performance with aging.
The Rampone is proposed as a white made almost on purpose for dishes based on fish, shellfish and seafood.
